Safe opening
Updated 2026-10-10
You forgot the code, the battery died, or the safe lock jammed. In D-Bell you book a locksmith to open it, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does safe opening cost?
Opening a safe usually costs ILS 450 to 900. The price depends on the safe type and whether it can be opened without damage. This is an average D-Bell catalog range.
Before booking
- With an electronic safe, try new batteries first. Many safes lock up when the battery is weak.
- Look for the emergency key that came with the safe.
- Photograph the safe and keypad, and note the maker’s name if shown.
Who can book an opening?
A reliable locksmith asks to see that you live at the address before opening a door or changing a lock, such as an ID with the address or a lease. That protects you too.
How is it done properly?
- Ask for proof the safe is yours before opening it.
- Try a master code, a battery change, or non-destructive opening first.
- Tell you up front if drilling is needed and what it means for the safe.
- After opening, reset the code or replace the lock.
- Check the safe locks and opens with the new code.
