How much does installation cost?
Fitting a set of bathroom accessories usually costs ILS 150 to 350. Hanging a mirror costs ILS 80 to 160. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
Drilling into tiles
Tiles are drilled with a suitable bit, without hammer mode, and near a grout line where possible. That keeps the tile from cracking. It also matters where the water pipes run in the wall, so they are not drilled into.
What should the request say?
- The list of accessories, and whether you bought them.
- Whether spots are marked or the handyman should suggest.
- Whether the tiles are expensive or delicate, like marble.
How is it done properly?
- Mark the positions with you, at a comfortable height.
- Detect pipes and wiring in the wall before drilling.
- Drill tiles with a suitable bit and no hammer action, so they do not crack.
- Seal the holes with silicone so water does not get into the wall.
- Level each item and check it is solid.
