TV mounting
Updated 2026-10-10
A level screen at the right height, with no cables hanging down the wall. In D-Bell you book a handyman to mount the TV and get quotes before you choose.
How much does TV mounting cost?
Standard TV mounting usually costs ILS 250 to 510, and a large screen ILS 400 to 790. Mounting a soundbar costs ILS 130 to 280, and hiding cables ILS 150 to 320. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
What should I know before booking?
- Screen size and model, to choose a suitable bracket.
- Whether you have a bracket or the professional brings one.
- A fixed bracket or an articulating arm that swings sideways.
- Where the outlet and the set-top box are, and whether to hide cables.
Say what the wall is made of: block, concrete, or drywall. Drywall needs special anchors or reinforcement, and you do not drill into a safe room (mamad) without checking Home Front Command guidance.
What height should it go at?
In a living room, the center of the screen is usually around eye level when seated on the sofa. In a bedroom it goes a little higher. Mark the height you want on the wall before the professional arrives.
How is it done properly?
- Check the wall type, concrete, block, or plasterboard, and pick screws and anchors to match.
- Check the bracket is rated for the TV’s weight and size.
- Detect pipes and wiring in the wall before drilling.
- Set the height to eye level from the sofa, and level it.
- Hide the cables in trunking or inside the wall where possible, and check the screen is solid.
