How much does a small move cost?
Moving help with one helper usually costs ILS 120 to 190 per hour, and with two helpers ILS 210 to 330 per hour. Moving one large piece of furniture costs ILS 390 to 680, moving a fridge within the city ILS 360 to 680, and packing help ILS 100 to 170 per hour. Adding a crane costs ILS 370 to 1620. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
Note that the helpers’ hourly rate is for labor and does not include a vehicle. If you also need a truck or a van, say so in the request, and the professional lists the vehicle price in the quote. The final price depends on the amount, the floors, the elevator, and the distance from parking, and anything extra found mid-job comes to you in the app to approve or decline.
When is a crane needed?
When a large item does not fit the stairs or the elevator: a corner sofa, a wardrobe that does not come apart, or a big fridge in a building with a narrow stairwell. The crane lifts the item through the balcony or a window. Write what the item is, its size, and the floor, and photograph the balcony or window. Placing a crane on the street may need advance arrangements, and the professional will tell you what is required.
What should I write in the request?
- The list of large items: sofa, bed, wardrobe, fridge, washing machine.
- The floor and elevator at both addresses, and whether there is parking near the entrance.
- Whether furniture needs taking apart and reassembling.
- Whether you need a vehicle, or only help carrying and loading.
- Whether boxes are already packed, or you also need packing help.
How do I prepare for the move?
Pack small items in closed, labeled boxes in advance, empty drawers, and take down lamps and shelves if you can. Empty the fridge and unplug it before the move, and drain the washing machine. Check with the house committee whether the elevator needs booking, and keep a parking spot near the entrance.
How do I book a move on D-Bell?
- Open a request in the app and write what is moving, from where to where, and on which floors.
- Add photos of the large items and the stairwell. It is optional, but it helps you get an accurate price.
- Pick a saved address and a time, or mark it urgent for today.
- Get quotes from verified movers, compare, and choose.
- Follow the professional on the map on the way, and approve the work when it is done.
How are movers on D-Bell checked?
Every professional is reviewed and approved by the team before they can quote or take a job. After each job the customer and the professional rate each other, and the ratings stay in the app.
