How much does a move cost?
Help from one mover usually costs ILS 120 to 190, and from two movers ILS 210 to 330. Hourly work costs ILS 120 to 190 per hour. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
What affects the price?
- How much there is: the number of rooms and boxes.
- Floor, elevator, and building access.
- Heavy items such as a fridge, washing machine, or piano.
- Taking furniture apart and putting it back together.
Say which floor the apartment is on, whether there is an elevator and its size, and whether the truck can park close to the entrance. These affect time and price the most.
How do I prepare?
Pack in advance and label each box by room. Take down lamps and wall shelves, empty the fridge the day before and leave it open to dry. Take valuables and documents with you.
How is it done properly?
- Arrive with blankets, wrap, and boxes as agreed.
- Take large furniture apart and bag the screws with labels.
- Wrap furniture and appliances before carrying them out.
- Load heavy items low and light ones on top, strapped in the truck.
- Put everything in the room you marked, and reassemble what was taken apart.
