Furniture disassembly and reassembly for a move
Updated 2026-10-10
A large wardrobe does not fit through the door in one piece, and a double bed will not go in the elevator. In D-Bell you book disassembly before the move and reassembly in the new home, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does disassembly and reassembly cost?
Taking furniture apart and reassembling it for a move usually costs ILS 150 to 260 per hour. Moving help with two helpers costs ILS 210 to 330 per hour. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
What is usually dismantled?
- Large wardrobes and sliding doors.
- Double beds, bunk beds, and storage beds.
- Large dining tables and desks.
- Shelving and wall units screwed to the wall.
How not to lose parts?
Put each piece’s screws in a sealed bag, label it with the furniture name, and tape it on. Photograph the piece before taking it apart, which helps with reassembly. Say which floor, whether there is an elevator and its size, and whether the truck can park close to the entrance. These affect time and price the most.
How is it done properly?
- Photograph the furniture before taking it apart, so it goes back together easily.
- Bag screws and hardware with a label for each item.
- Wrap every part and protect the corners.
- Reassemble in order in the new home and align doors and drawers.
- Anchor tall wardrobes to the wall.
