How much does piano moving cost?
Moving a piano usually costs ILS 900 to 2200, depending on the type, floors, and distance. If it will not fit up the stairs, a crane surcharge costs ILS 370 to 1620. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
How is it moved properly?
- The piano is wrapped in blankets, with the legs and pedals protected.
- A grand piano is partly dismantled and moved on its side on a special dolly.
- Straps hold it in the truck so it does not shift.
- With narrow stairs or a high floor, the need for a crane is checked in advance.
What should the request say?
Say whether it is an upright or a grand, and give both addresses. Say which floor, whether there is an elevator and its size, and whether the truck can park close to the entrance. These affect time and price the most.
