How much does AC cleaning cost?

A full AC cleaning usually costs ILS 330 to 620, and cleaning the filters only ILS 240 to 350. If you have several units, write how many and where: several units in one visit go into one quote. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.

What does a full cleaning include?

The technician opens the indoor unit, cleans the filters, the coil, and the fan, and checks that the drain water flows outside. A dedicated cleaner and a cover that catches the water are usually used, so the wall and floor stay clean. Filters only suits a unit that was cleaned recently and just needs a refresh.

How do I know my AC needs cleaning?

  • A musty or damp smell when you turn it on.
  • Black spots on the louver or at the air outlet.
  • Weaker airflow than before.
  • It cools less, although nothing else changed.
  • Dripping from the indoor unit, which can also mean a clogged drain.

Can I clean the AC myself?

The filters, yes: open the cover, take them out, rinse with water, and put them back only when dry. The coil and the fan inside are best left to a technician: parts come apart, there are electrical components nearby, and the thin coil fins bend easily. Before any cleaning, switch the AC off and disconnect it from power.

When is the best time to clean?

Before summer, before winter if you heat with the AC, and whenever a smell appears. In a home with pets, allergies, or near a busy road, dust builds up faster, so clean more often.

Does cleaning help with the smell?
