A wasp nest under the balcony roof, in a shutter, or in the garden, or a bee swarm that settled on a tree. In D-Bell you book a professional with protective gear, and get a quote before you choose.
How much does nest removal cost?
Removing a wasp or bee nest usually costs ILS 380 to 610. The price depends on the size of the nest, the height, and access. This is an average D-Bell catalog range.
Wasps or bees?
Wasps are slim, with bold yellow stripes, and build a nest of grey paper or inside a cavity. Honey bees are hairier and browner, and a swarm on a branch is usually a temporary stop on the way to a new home. Bees matter for pollination, so a swarm is better relocated by a beekeeper when possible rather than destroyed.
What not to do?
- Do not spray water or products on the nest, and do not throw things at it.
- Do not try to seal the entrance while the wasps are inside.
- Keep children and pets away from the area until removal.
Anyone allergic to stings should not approach the nest at all. If a sting causes a severe reaction, such as trouble breathing or swelling, get medical help right away.
How is it done properly?
- Identify wasps or bees. A bee swarm is relocated by a beekeeper, not destroyed.
- Work in full protective gear and keep people and pets away.
- Treat the nest when most wasps are inside, in the evening or early morning.
- Remove the nest after treatment, so they do not return to it.
- Seal the opening they used, such as a gap in a shutter or the roof, where possible.
