Floor polishing
Updated 2026-10-10
A marble or terrazzo floor that lost its shine, with scratches and stains that do not wash off. In D-Bell you book floor polishing, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does floor polishing cost?
Floor polishing usually costs ILS 25 to 60. The price depends on the stone, the floor’s condition, and whether deep grinding is needed. This is an average D-Bell catalog range.
How is it different from cleaning?
Cleaning removes dirt. Polishing is machine grinding with discs that removes a thin, scratched layer of stone and brings back the shine. Some floors get a protective coat at the end.
What should I know?
- Furniture is cleared out of the room before the work.
- The work is wet and noisy, so it is better not to be in the room.
- Not every floor suits it. Parquet and some tiles get a different treatment.
Say how many rooms or square meters there are and which floor, and send a few photos. That way a quote is possible without a visit first.
How is it done properly?
- Check the floor type, marble, terrazzo, or another stone, and choose the method to match.
- Move furniture and protect walls and skirting from water.
- Grind in stages, from coarse to fine, to remove scratches.
- Polish, then clean the residue off the floor and out of the corners.
- Explain how long to wait before washing and what to clean it with afterward.
