Fridge repair
Updated 2026-10-10
A fridge that is not cooling, water on the floor, or ice building up in the freezer. In D-Bell you book a technician to diagnose and repair it, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does fridge repair cost?
Fridge repair usually costs ILS 260 to 360, and replacing a door seal ILS 260 to 500. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges. Replacing a compressor is a bigger job, priced after diagnosis.
What should I check first?
- That the fridge is plugged in and the inside light comes on.
- That the thermostat was not moved by accident.
- That the door closes fully and the seal is not torn.
- That there is space behind the fridge and the rear grille is not covered in dust.
Signs of a worn door seal
Ice building up by the door, water drops inside, or a motor that runs all the time. Close the door on a sheet of paper: if it slides out with no resistance, the seal is not sealing.
Photograph the label with the model and serial number, usually inside the door or on the back, and send it in the request. That way the professional knows which part to bring.
How is it done properly?
- Diagnose before replacing a part: compressor, fan, thermostat, or seal.
- Identify the model and bring a matching part.
- Clean the condenser at the back and the drain opening.
- When gas is low, find the leak before refilling.
- Make sure the fridge starts cooling before finishing.
