How much does curtain rod installation cost?
Installing a curtain rod usually costs ILS 130 to 220. This is an average D-Bell catalog range, and the price depends on the number of windows and the track length.
What should I measure?
- The window width, plus about 15 to 20 cm each side so the open curtain does not cover the window.
- Whether it goes on the wall above the window or on the ceiling.
- How many layers: one curtain, or a curtain plus blackout.
Say what the wall is made of: block, concrete, or drywall. Drywall needs special anchors or reinforcement, and you do not drill into a safe room (mamad) without checking Home Front Command guidance.
How is it done properly?
- Measure the window and leave room at the sides, so the curtain does not block the light.
- Check the wall or ceiling and choose suitable anchors.
- Mark with a level so the rod is straight.
- Add a center support on a long rod so it does not sag.
- Hang the curtain and check it opens and closes easily.
