How much does roof repair cost?

When should the roof be checked?
The best time is before winter, ahead of the first rains. After a storm or strong wind, check whether tiles shifted or broke, even if there is no damp yet.
Safety
Do not climb onto a tile roof yourself. Tiles break under weight and the roof is slippery in rain. Work at height is done with suitable safety gear.
How is it done properly?
- Go up only with proper safety gear.
- Trace where water gets in, from inside and outside, rather than replacing tiles at random.
- Replace broken tiles and reseat tiles that shifted.
- Check the membrane under the tiles and the sealing around chimneys and openings.
- Clear the gutters and leave you before and after photos of the roof.
