How much does toilet repair cost?
Toilet repair, such as a new flush mechanism, valve, or seal, usually costs ILS 310 to 580. Installing a new toilet costs ILS 460 to 860. The toilet and parts are not included.
Why does the cistern keep filling?
Usually the float or fill valve does not close, or the seal at the bottom of the tank lets water run into the bowl. Close the shutoff valve until the repair to save water.
How is it done properly?
- Close the angle valve and empty the cistern before starting.
- Diagnose whether the fault is in the fill valve, the flush valve, or a seal, and replace only what wore out.
- For a rocking toilet, secure the fixing and replace the seal to the sewer.
- Seal the base with sanitary silicone.
- Flush several times and check for leaks at the cistern, the connection, and the base.
