Angle valve replacement
Updated 2026-10-10
The small angle valve under the sink or by the toilet drips, or will not close when you need to change a faucet. In D-Bell you book a plumber to replace it, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does replacing an angle valve cost?
Replacing an angle valve usually costs ILS 150 to 300 per valve. When several are replaced in one visit, hourly work at ILS 230 to 390 per hour can also suit. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
Signs it is time
- Drips under the sink or by the toilet.
- A handle that is stuck or turns without closing.
- Rust or limescale around the valve.
- An old, swollen flexible hose attached to it.
Should they all be replaced together?
If one valve is stuck with limescale, the others of the same age probably are too. Replacing all the angle valves and flexible hoses in one visit saves another visit. Photograph the spot and the old part and send them in the request. That way the plumber knows what to bring and can quote more accurately.
How is it done properly?
- Shut off the water to the apartment and drain the line.
- Check the thread in the wall before fitting a new valve.
- Also replace the flexible hose when it is old or swollen.
- Seal the joint and make sure the valve lines up straight with the hose.
- Turn the water on and check every replaced valve, open and closed.
