Sink trap and bath drain replacement
Updated 2026-10-10
The trap is the curved pipe under the sink, and the bath drain connects the bath outlet and overflow to the sewer. When they wear out you get leaks or smells.
How much does it cost?
Replacing a sink trap usually costs ILS 270 to 450. A bath drain replacement depends on access under the bath, so it is billed by the hour at ILS 230 to 390 or in a fixed quote.
How is it done properly?
- Remove the old trap over a bucket and clean the drain opening in the wall.
- Fit a trap of the right diameter and height for the sink and anything connected to it.
- Use new seals rather than reusing the old ones.
- On a bath, also replace the overflow connection, so nothing leaks to the neighbor.
- Fill and drain several times and check for drips and smells.
