Concealed cistern and wall-hung toilet
Updated 2026-10-10
A concealed cistern saves space, but when it fails it hides inside the wall. In D-Bell you describe the fault and get quotes from verified plumbers.
How much does it cost?
Repairing a concealed cistern, such as a new flush seal, float, or mechanism, usually costs ILS 320 to 580. Installing a wall-hung toilet with a concealed cistern costs ILS 1500 to 2830. Fixtures and tiling are not included.
Common faults
Water running nonstop usually means a worn flush seal. A slow fill points to a scaled fill valve. Most repairs go through the flush plate opening without breaking the wall.
How is it done properly?
- Reach the mechanism through the service opening behind the flush plate, without breaking the wall.
- Identify the cistern model and bring original or compatible parts.
- Replace the valve or the fill mechanism and set the water volume.
- For a wall-hung toilet, fix it to the frame with the right bolts and check it does not move.
- Flush several times and check there is no trickle into the bowl and no leak in the wall.
