How much does faucet replacement cost?
Installing a new faucet usually costs ILS 300 to 580, and repairing an existing one ILS 270 to 530. The faucet itself is not included.
Repair or replace?
A drip from a worn washer or cartridge can usually be repaired. An old faucet with a cracked body, heavy scale, or a broken handle is better replaced. An in-wall shower mixer is a different, larger job.
How is it done properly?
- Close the angle valves or the main valve before taking anything apart.
- Check whether a new cartridge or seal is enough before suggesting a new faucet.
- Clean the mounting surface and replace old flexible hoses.
- Tighten the fittings firmly but not too hard, and seal with silicone where needed.
- Turn the water on and check hot and cold, the flow, and that nothing leaks under the sink.
