Submersible pump repair
Updated 2026-10-10
A submersible pump empties sewage or groundwater from a pit below the sewer line. When it stops, the pit fills fast.
How much does it cost?
Repairing a submersible pump, such as a new float, cleaning, or a valve fix, usually costs ILS 650 to 1600. If the line after the pump is blocked, sewer unblocking costs ILS 530 to 970.
How is it done properly?
- Disconnect the pump from power before lifting it out of the pit.
- Clean solids stuck in the pit and the pump.
- Check the float switch, the non-return valve, and the motor.
- Install it so the float moves freely and does not catch on the wall.
- Fill the pit with water and check the pump switches on and off on time.
