Hedge trimming
Updated 2026-10-10
A hedge growing into the sidewalk or blocking the window. In D-Bell you book a gardener for a neat trim, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does hedge trimming cost?
Hedge trimming usually costs ILS 200 to 380. The price depends on the hedge length and height. This is an average D-Bell catalog range.
When should it be trimmed?
Most hedges are trimmed two or three times a year, mainly in spring and late summer. Regular, moderate trimming keeps a hedge denser than a hard cut every few years.
What should the request say?
- The rough length and height of the hedge.
- Whether the gardener should clear the cuttings.
- Whether there are shrubs or small trees to trim too.
Photograph the garden, send the photos in the request, and give its rough size in square meters. That way the gardener can quote without visiting first.
How is it done properly?
- Trim in the right season for the plant, and not while birds are nesting in it.
- Keep the hedge wider at the base than at the top, so light reaches its full height.
- Use sharp shears that cut cleanly instead of tearing.
- Trim to a string line so the hedge is even.
- Collect the cuttings from the sidewalk and the garden.
