How much does an intercom cost?
Installing an intercom usually costs ILS 650 to 1500, and an intercom repair ILS 250 to 500. A technician inspection visit costs ILS 230 to 380. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges, and the unit itself is usually separate.
Apartment or building intercom?
The handset or screen in the apartment connects to the panel at the building entrance. When only your apartment cannot hear or open, the fault is usually yours, in the handset or the wiring. When the whole building has no intercom, the fault is in the panel or the shared power supply, which is a matter for the building committee.
What should I write in the request?
- What exactly does not work: ringing, talking, picture, or opening the door.
- Whether the fault is only in your apartment or in the whole building.
- A photo of the handset or screen in the apartment, and if possible of the panel downstairs.
How is it done properly?
- Check whether the fault is in the apartment unit or the building system.
- Identify the system type and match a new unit that works with it.
- Connect the wires by their marking and fix the unit straight on the wall.
- Test the ring, speech, door release, and the picture if there is a screen.
- In a shared building, coordinate with the committee before touching the entrance panel.
