Ceiling painting
Updated 2026-10-10
A ceiling that yellowed, with an old damp stain or fine cracks. A ceiling is hard to paint yourself, and it changes the whole room. In D-Bell you book a painter, and get quotes before you choose.
How much does ceiling painting cost?
Ceiling painting usually costs ILS 15 to 35. For a small job, like fixing one stain, hourly work at ILS 150 to 260 per hour can suit. These are average D-Bell catalog ranges.
What does the job include?
- Covering the floor and furniture with plastic.
- Filling cracks and holes, and sanding.
- A stain-blocking primer on damp and smoke marks, so they do not bleed through.
- Two coats of ceiling paint.
A damp stain on the ceiling
Before painting a damp stain, make sure the leak was fixed. Otherwise the stain returns within weeks. If it is still wet, book leak detection first. Photograph the walls or ceiling, send the photos in the request, and give the rough size in square meters. That way the painter can quote without visiting first.
